Assignment 2
Went to the movies last night and saw Santum. The movie was pretty good if you have nothing else to do. It is based on a true story of a group of people trapped in an unexplored cave. The story line is pretty typical, most of the characters act as you would expect, and only the strong survive. This is probably a good movie to rent when it comes out on DVD and spend a couple hours on the couch watching. I tired to watch a movie on netflix last night. Our internet is very slow, so it keeps shutting down, then it finally plays the movie. After about a half hour it stops and has to load again. UGH! This time it just sits there and dosn't start up again. This is almost as bad as watching movies on cable. I hate it when you miss the beginning of a movie, or miss the ending. I am thinking about going back to watching movies from the rental store. To do that I would have to plan ahead, and know what movie I want to watch.

week 1
Saturday I was at the meat raffle at the local tavern in Adell. There are usually 50 to 100 people that come to the raffle for a chance to win Scotts meat. Each week Scott gets a variety of meats for the event from Costco. This week there was two pork loins, two whole chickens, chicken breasts, two beef roasts, 4 new york strip steaks, and a whole beef tenderloin. The patrons have named the last meat the Big Kahuna, and rightly so. It is a whole rib eye loin that can be cut into about 16 steaks! Anyone who is there can buy a ticket for $1and have a chance to win a nice cut of meat. Along with each raffle there are free drinks drawn. The whole event takes about 4 hours, and a good time is had by all.
